The Under The Blue Moon show bags are the highlight of the festival every year, full of surprises, prizes & the best discount vouchers to all the stores & stalls in the Alternative Arts, Retail Fashion District of Enmore Rd & Newtown! Not every show bag is the same so you never know what special little (big) surprises you will get in your show bag. Each show bag purchase also includes a ticket in the coffin raffle.

WHERE TO BUY You can purchase show bags at the UTBM Info stall on Market Day 31st October in Newtown Square. Or to avoid disappointment you can pre-purchase your UTBM 09 Show Bag.

Pre booked show bags are no longer available online. They will be available for purchase on the 31st October from 10:00am in Newtown Square. If you have already purchased you can pick up your showbag from the info stall from 10:00am where your showbag will be waiting for you.

One of the more exciting acts to have come out of the Festival in years gone by - and which is quickly on the rise to superstardom, returns this year: The Surgical Sideshow have been guests of the Under the Blue Moon Festival for the past two years. Their post-mortal Puppet Theatre has entertained passers-by on Market Day and promoted us at the Sandringham Hotel.  Their Giant Skellingtons have amazed audiences with their inventive grotesques, both on the Hub Stage and in the Vanguard Cabaret Club at night.

Under the Blue Moon – the festival of all things darkly beautiful is announcing the festival dates for 2009, 0ctober 28th – 31st October.

This year Under The Blue Moon takes on Halloween, showing the world how ‘All Hallows Eve’ should really be done. The festival now in its 6th year is the highlight of the Australian Dark Alternative calendar year, with people travelling to the festival not only from around the country but from around the world – putting Australia’s dark alternative culture on the world map. Over four nights the alternative arts precinct of Enmore & Newtown in the inner west of Sydney is taken over by those darkly beautiful souls who love the velvety shadows.
